The Stanley Cup traveled to U. S. Cellular Field, home of the Chicago White Sox, on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 21, 2015. The cup was accompanied by several, including Michael Rozsíval, Andrew Shaw, and Coach Quenneville. Coach Q threw out the opening pitch.
The cup had a wonderful time being photographed on the pitcher’s mound, sitting in a great booth just behind home plate, and toured around the Cell before departing. The great mojo from the coach, players, and Stanley Cup rubbed off on the home team Chicago White Sox, at least for a day, with a walk-off home run in the 11th inning by Gordon Beckham. (Who had a walk-off base hit on Mother’s Day!)
